Our Story

Staffy Nation is a family-run streetwear brand of clothes and accessories inspired by our beloved dog breed, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, affectionately known as Staffies. Staffy Nation is Kasia, Hela, me - Michael - and, of course,our four-legged friend, Nora.
How did she end up at our house? Why a Staffy and not another breed?
OUR STORY
Where did our beloved Nora come from? It all starts at the beginning of 2019, in one of the most difficult times for our family. Kasia's sudden, severe illness and the equally unexpected death of my Mum at the same moment fell on me like a bolt from the blue.
When we began to recover after several months of mourning, we felt that we could use a new, cheerful companion, someone who, in addition to our beloved daughter, would put us back on our feet. Someone who, while not understanding the source of our worries, would at the same time perfectly sense them and immediately move to help. That is, a dog. And preferably a Staffy.
WHY A STAFFY?
We have no doubt that any dog can be a wonderful companion in life, and everyone deserves care and love. But in our case, it’s Staffies. It started with my aunt's old Amstaff, who came to us upon hearing of Mum's serious health condition. As we sat together, Cycek instinctively sensed a man whose world was crashing in on him and immediately laid down beside me, laying his head in my lap - even though he had only seen me twice before in his life.
I once heard somewhere that these extremely intelligent and sensitive dogs can unerringly read human feelings and react accordingly - and I experienced this myself almost immediately. One of the few times I smiled during that period, I owe to him:
So when six months later, at Christmas Eve dinner, I asked my cousin, an Amstaff breeder, what kind of dog she would recommend to our battered family, she said without hesitation: "A Staffy. Loving without limits, faithful, cheerful, not too big, but energetic, always at the centre of things, always by your side”. And indeed, it worked out every iota.
Nora came to us almost simultaneously with the COVID-19 pandemic, bringing joy, positive confusion, activity and a whole sea of emotions into our home - in both directions. Walks, games, mischief, kisses and cuddles with her warm black body, which, like a vacuum cleaner, absorbs all the cares and worries with patience and understanding - giving back peace, tranquillity and a sense of security. That is, of course, until the word "walk" is uttered, when she turns into a raging ball of energy, chasing a ball and hanging from a branch like a beast, ready to smash everything into dust - but is never a threat to humans.
Anyway, there are plenty of such stories, and we will probably read and write about them more than once. People love Staffies, and Staffies reciprocate this feeling, multiplying it by ten along the way. Yes, it's not a breed for everyone, just as not everyone who has a driver's licence should get behind the wheel of a sports car - but if you can commit to raising and grooming a dog, if you're willing to give it time, attention and love - we're sure you'll find the most devoted, loyal, affectionate and loving companion in life.
So this is how it all started....
